5 January 2022 became an historic day in the long lineage of the Veterans of Foreign Wars District 4 as well as Joshua W. Harris Brookfield Memorial Post 2868 & North Riverside Post 2378. With the final approval from VFW National they shall merge into one very strong post with the #2868 and the new charter reflecting the older date of inception from 2378 founded in the 1920's. 

The two post have been working closely for sometime assisting each other in a variety of matters. This merger seems to make one super post for district 4 and we shall all be wishing them continued success.
